April/May
Spring and flowers are bursting out with joyous abandon. We look forward to getting back to our gardens, celebrate holidays like Easter, Mother's Day, Memorial Day and graduations of all kinds with our families and friends. Don't forget to look for those gifts you need to buy in Country Register advertising stores. There are many great gifts out there for people of all ages. Spring is often thought of as a time of new life and we also are sharing some new things in this issue -- a new quilt project, a new knitting pattern contributor, a new columnist -- Naomi Gaede-Penner -- and lots of new ideas and recipes. Take some time to look through the paper, plan out those road trips and enjoy Spring. That summer heat will be here soon enough!
A few of the stories in this issue:
• Quilts That Redeem
• Tea With Lydia
• Building Harmoney with Jeff Cappis
• Making Deposits
• New Knitting Pattern from Kansas designer
• New Quilting Project from Mary Pfeiler of Quilting on the Square
• Road trip to Newton Kansas
Enjoy visiting our advertising shops. You'll never know what you'll find.
View The Country Register on-line or in print!
For those who prefer to read on-line, we are now publishing the complete paper here for you on our web site. Back issues will be available as well. This will hopefully provide you with easy access to shop or event information if you do not have your paper handy. It will also be a way for you to find current advertisers so you know where you can pick up a printed copy!
The print edition is still available as usual in each advertising shop, events, certain travel information centers and other select rack locations. Some people will always and forever prefer to sit down in a cozy chair and read through the paper edition page by page. The younger generations are more apt to go on-line and so we hope to broaden our readership and bring more customers to the shops because of this extra exposure.
