Advertisers'
Event Calendar

Each advertiser may list up to 2 special events each issue in the Advertisers' Event Calendar.

Advertisers' Map & Indexes

There is a map on the inside back cover that locates all the advertising shops. Below it are two indexes to help readers find the right shop and where it is.

Readers'
Shopping Guide

Our readers use The Country Register to plan day trips with friends where they go from one Country Register shop to another for an enjoyable shopping trip.

Distribution

The Country Registers are distributed through the shops and businesses that advertise. Papers are also distributed through non-advertising locations. Circulation runs about 14,000 MARI papers, 8,000 CT and NCSC papers depending on the number of advertisers and the season.

Billing

Country Register Advertising can be paid in one of two ways. The first option is to send in your payment with your ad submittal.

If payment is not received with your ad submittal, you will be invoiced either by U.S. Mail, Email, or fax.

Please note that the 3 and 6 consecutive issue discounts are available to shops that pay their advertising bills promptly, that is, they have NO balance due when invoiced for the next issue.

If an advertiser falls 2 issues behind in their payments, their ad will not be run until payment is received.

We will be working on ads for about 2 weeks after the deadlines and will accept your ad submittals during that time. If you have a question as to whether there is time to submit your ad, please contact us.

Providing you with a proof is critical for a successful ad. Please submit your ad early to allow time for your proof to reach you before we go to print.

Camera-ready ads are nice, but not required. We will gladly design and layout your ad for no additional charge! We provide a wide variety of typestyles, borders, and clip art. We will be happy to consult with you about your ad layout, wording, or any other aspects of your ad, at no charge.

Print the Advertiser's Order Form and fill it out completely. Be sure to indicate which paper(s) (MARI and/or CT) you wish to advertise in, your ad size and the number of consecutive issues you are committing to. Please send a clear copy of any logos or artwork you want in your ad. You may mail, fax, or email your ad submittal.

If you are submitting graphics electronically, it must be in PDF, TIF, or JPEG format and be at least 300dpi.

Submitting Ad Information for Your Next Ad

About 2 weeks after an issue comes out we mail a ReOrder Form to each advertiser. The ReOrder Form provides information on the next deadlline, your last ad, and has space for you to indicate any changes in your ad for the next issue. This form is designed to simplify your ongoing Country Register advertising.

Ad Placement

Our readers pickup and read The Country Register because they are looking for your type of shop. They want to read your ad! Special ad placement is not needed for effective advertising in The Country Register.

Ads are laid out by geographic areas and those areas are moved around the paper each issue. Except for color ads (see below), no preferential ad placement is provided.

Color Ads

Color is a proven way to attract additional readers to your ad. Color is available on the back and centerfold pages. Space is limited and is allocated on a "first-come, first-serve" basis.

Color is by four-color process, spot color is not available.

Articles

Advertisers are encouraged to submit articles about their shops or on other topics. All articles are subject to editing for content and length and are published at the discretion of the publisher. For more details on submitting articles contact us.

Policies

Publisher reserves the right to reject any ad, event, article, or other content, which is deemed not in keeping with our markets or our editorial policies.

Shops failing to meet their multi-issue discount commitment will be billed for the difference in the rate and number of ads actually taken.
